Not Open to the Public Wineries -- Walla Walla

Throughout Walla Walla, a number of wineries don’t have regular tasting room hours. In many cases, they don’t need to. Their wines sell out before released as “future” purchases. Such is the case with Leonetti Cellar and Cayuse Vineyard. Historically, their loyal following of consumers have pre-purchased their allotment. On the other hand, other wineries aren’t “ready for prime time” and are in the first stages of their life cycle. Perhaps they will be open by appointment only in the future but for now, they are not open to the public. Thus, not having regular tasting room hours means zilch when it comes to passing judgment on the quality of the wine. It simply means that WineTrail trekkers will need to steer toward dozens of other wineries with tasting rooms and staff ready to pour.
