Dundee WineTrail

I love the names: Duck Pond Cellars, The Four Graces, Dobbes Family Estate, Argyle Winery, and A to Z Wineworks. Each of them offers great pinot noir (and other wines) and yet they are unique and have their own story to tell. That story is found in the tasting rooms where you can relax and kibitz with knowledgeable tasting room personnel. Get ready for some surprises, too. From the elegance of the Craftsman-style bungalow of The Four Graces to the sparkling wines of Argyle, your visit won’t disappoint. For sure, talk to the tasting room personnel at A to Z Wineworks to get an appreciation for their meteoric success story. Perhaps it is their tag line, “Aristocratic wines at democratic prices,” that reveals their story, but it’s more than that for sure. Sit out on their patio, unscrew a bottle and discover for yourself the art of blending.

Limited time? Check out the Ponzi Wine Bar in downtown Dundee. Here you can experience Ponzi wines and many other hard-to-find local wines. This WineTrail enthusiast celebrates the fact that the Ponzi family promotes others wines – not just theirs. This esprit de corps is reflective of the Oregon winemaking community in general. They’re in it together.
