Boise Area WineTrail
With beautiful Boise as their base camp, Boise Area WineTrail trekkers will experience a variety of settings — and wines — at four fabulous wineries. Beginning in Eagle’s undulating countryside, the Boise Area WineTrail begins with a visit to 3 Horse Ranch Vineyards winery, which features organically grown fruit. With its rustic setting, it offers a safe haven for cowboys to drink viognier with their Brie and crackers. Down the road is the Woodriver Cellars estate. You will want to pack a picnic for this oasis. Bocce balls are optional. Next up is urban splendor in the chic BoDo district of Boise. You won’t find vineyards here, but you will find plenty of tasty wines to sample at the Snake River Winery tasting room. Your final stop along this WineTrail is the bucolic Indian Creek Winery. By now, you will have had your fill of Bordeaux- and Rhône-style wines, but let’s hope you’ve saved room for Indian Creek’s pinot noir. There’s a reason those bottles in Indian Creek’s tasting room are draped in ribbons.
