Pleasant Hill Winery
If you are looking for a great place to host a wedding or a corporate event near Seattle, Pleasant Hill Estate may be just the ticket. Located between Fall City and Carnation just off Highway 203, Pleasant Hill Estate is just 45 minutes from Seattle. The winery/estate grounds is a 3.5-acre park enclosed in white washed walls covered with English Ivy. It’s easy to imagine music, white frosting sheet cake and good wine at this bucolic setting originally built in 1915.
Your hosts, Larry and Birgit Lindvig, extend European cordiality and as they point out on their website, “specialize in making small, handcrafted lots of fine wines. Here at Pleasant Hill, we believe that wine is a part of life and our goal is to make wines that bring romance to the heart and joy to the soul.” Annual production is limited to 800 cases of Pinot Noir, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Sangiovese, Lemberger, Chardonnay, Lemberger Rose, Cabernet/Merlot, Malbec, and three blended wines called Alegria, Donatella and Melange. Fairly ambitious for a small winery!
Pleasant Hill is open to the public by appointment only. See www.pleasanthillestates.com for more information about hosting an event.
