Martin-Scott Winery
Located above the Columbia River in east Wenatchee, Martin-Scott Winery enjoys a dazzling view, one that easily qualifies as one of the top 10 in the state. Come for the wine, uncork a bottle and stay for the view (and authentic hospitality).
Mike and Judi Scott host guests in their downstairs tasting room and are often behind the bar introducing visitors to Martin-Scott wines. They make a cute couple. But more than that, they make a dynamic duo with Mike focused on the grape growing aspects and Judi producing the small-batch wines.
While Mike tends to their two vineyards – one juxtaposed to their East Wenatchee home/winery and the other further south in Mattawa. Judi, along with her other tasks, manages the tasting room and coordinates events (of which there are many including weddings). With the chemistry and microbiology inherent in winemaking, Judy’s work as a laboratory technician also comes in handy.
When visiting Martin-Scott, be sure to check out the banquet room with its oversized dining table and accompanying dining-room details. With the table’s capacity to seat 20 guests, many a family and business has reserved the space for catered events.
The running of Martin-Scott Winery is a family affair. Adult sons Tim and Chris have pitched in from time to time with assistance in the vineyard marketing and daughter-in-law Becky is the winery artist responsible for the beautiful wrought iron Martin-Scott sign at the winery’s entrance. Even granddaughter Grace Scott gets in the act: “Grace’s Gewürztraminer” bears her name.
