Karma Vineyards
Their passion is bubbling…
Only a handful of Washington wineries use the méthode champenoise to make sparkling wine. And for Lake Chelan WineTrail Trekkers, you can count Karma Vineyards amongst those that rely on the traditional method. Although a bottle of Karma Vineyards sports a hefty price tag of $46.99 a bottle, the truth is that much labor and love goes into each bottle. From secondary fermentation in the bottle to the riddling that follows, each batch goes through singular care and attention.
The surrounding vineyards of this south shore winery add beauty to the landscape but underneath the winery, the man made cave is a nice stop on the tour. Here is where you can see the sparklers resting comfortably in their riddling racks and glance longingly at the banquet room where candelabra bathe private parties.
If your tummy groans with hunger pains, you’re at the right place. 18 Brix Restaurant at Karma Vineyards is here to satisfy those cravings. Hint: Assuming your Weight Watcher’s counselor isn’t around, check out the TBBC sandwich: a delicious concoction of tomato, hickory bacon, fresh basil and chicken. Yummy!
