Everything about this Sunset Road winery speaks authenticity. There’s nothing pretentious about it. From the welcoming staff to the winery dog, each little touch point invites visitors to relax and experience Cooper.

Check out the logo adorned wine label with weathered C painted on a red barn door. If you’re thinking western, down home, family, mom, and apple pie and hard work, you are not alone. It’s intentional because with a gazillion wineries out there competing, you have to create a winery that breaks through the clutter.

Cooper succeeds because the winery reflects the creator and owner of Cooper – Neil Cooper. His agrarian roots and straightforward style is there for all to see. Pretty transparent. What you see is what you get. And what you get are some extraordinary wines that show great promise for this young Red Mountain winery. Amazingly, despite its youthful existence, Cooper offers a variety of wines to sample including pinot gris, chardonnay, cabernet and Bordeaux blends.

In keeping with Cooper’s essence, these wines showcase the viticulture areas from where they come – the Columbia Valley AVA. Big, bold, with just the right amount of acid to give the wines spark, and balance out the flavor profile.

Cooper’s spacious tasting room provides comfortable shade in summer’s heat and shelter from the cold in winter. Year round, it is a welcoming space to taste the terroir of Washington.
