Alexandria Nicole Cellars

Perhaps it was the Shepherd’s Mark Southern Rhône blend or the elegant Quarry Butte Red Table Wine but these tastes had me signing up for the ANC Wine Club. I’ve been to hundreds of wineries in the northwest and I can honestly say that I’m a member of few wine clubs.

However, this is no ordinary wine club.

For starters, imagine a tasting room that has hidden doors that lead into an exclusive “members only” space for wine tasting. Such is the case at both their Prosser and Woodinville Hollywood Schoolhouse tasting rooms. Add to that a wine club that’s all about fun and creating memorable experiences for their members. Yes, it’s true and throughout the year you can participate in unique activities from blending competitions, girl’s night out, harvest parties in the vines and discounts for overnight “Glamping.” In case you don’t know, “Glamping” is the name they christened for “glamorous camping” in their estate vineyard – Destiny Ridge Vineyard.

Yes indeed Alexandria Nicole creates estate wines from their prized 263-acre, 23 grape variety, Destiny Ridge Vineyard in the Horse Heaven Hills near Prosser. From bud break to bottling co-owner/winemaker Jarrod Boyle, has control over the all aspects of their wine production. This helps explain a boatload of awards and accolades he’s received over the years including recognized as Washington’s 2011 Winery of the Year by Wine Press Northwest. Note: The name “Alexandria Nicole” is the first and last name of Jarrod’s wife, Ali Boyle, co-owner of Alexandria Nicole Cellars.

Now about that Glamping in Destiny Ridge Vineyard…imagine starry nights, a nice fire, campfire gourmet grub and excellent wine to boot. Makes you want to check out the ANC Wine Club doesn’t it!
