Airport Ranch Winery

Airport Ranches Inc. was established in 1945 on the site of a former World War II Naval flight training base. Mike Miller, owner and operator, is a third generation farmer. Historically, the ranch raised a number of diversified crops, as well as cattle, but in recent years has concentrated mostly on juice and wine grapes, with the first grapes being planted in the mid 1970's. Currently, Airport Ranches Inc. raises 320 acres of Concord grapes for Welch Foods and 720 acres of wine grapes for local wineries. Varieties include Chardonnay, White Riesling, Pinot Gris, Merlot, Gewurztraminer, Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah, Sauvignon Blanc and Pinot Noir.
