Working on Walla Walla Book--Furiously!

May 6, 2010

Dateline May 2010. As many of you know, the last half year I have been head down (not in a glass of wine) but working on a new book exclusively for Walla Walla. I have managed to make 14 separate trips from my home outside Seattle to Walla Walla a 4 hour plus drive. My poor car!

This will be a true guidebook featuring places to stay, places to eat and 30 things to do beyond the tasting room. As a result, I have gotten to know WW really well and it is truly a remarkable town of just 30,000 people -- full of culture, amazing history, stunning restaurants that compete with Portland and Seattle, and tons to do including (get this) 217 bicycle trails.

In short, I am smitten dear WineTrail friend. I have fallen in love and her name is Walla Walla but please don't tell my wife (although I suspect she knows).

Come July the book will go into production. There follows several rounds of edits and by the time the books arrive it will be October. Look for the new WW book in a store near you or better yet, this website.
