Italy Still On My Mind

It's been a week since we got back from Italy but our visit was so intense my dreams still have me in Italy. I definitely have Italy on my mind -- food, wine, history, architecture, language, etc. But most of all, I have the people on my mind. Everyone we met was so damn generous. Plus, they dripped with authenticity.

I'd be remiss if I didn't give another shout out to Doumina Whyman and her Italian tour company--The Enthusiastic Traveler. There's just no way that Kathleen and I would have had access to great family wineries -- small, generational, and although wine is the centerpiece, it was always paired with the good things in life including some terrific not-on-the-diet meats and cheese.
