Even though we have separated out Woodinville from Puget Sound Wine Country, the fact remains that the Puget Sound is still home to more than 60 wineries. Yet many don't consider the Puget Sound as a destination for wine tasting. Au contraire mes amis!

The bad news for WineTrail enthusiasts is that most Puget Sound wineries are not open to the public or open by appointment only. But here's the good news: there are 8 wineries and one marvelous tasting room (representing 7 different stellar wineries) that provide ample opportunity to sample amazing wines made from Eastern Washington grapes as well as some surprising wines made from Puget Sound grapes. The wineries included in the Greater Seattle Wine Trail stretch from Tacoma to Sultan with forays by ferry to Vashon Island and by foot in the Pike Place Market. Along the way, you will discover the deep roots of Washington wine history, the passion that Puget Sound grape growers have, and a variety of styles and types of wine that will surprise and delight you. Cheers!
